• Excellent place...

  My girlfriend and I eat at Zest every now and again and we are always very satisfied when we leave. The restaurant itself is located just off Friar Gate and can be easily missed, but once you find it, the food is excellent. Although on the pricey side, the food is very nice and very well presented. Zest also run a member's points scheme where you register to receive a loyalty card. The more you eat, the more points you earn which you can then use towards your next meal (e.g. free bottle of wine, free starters etc). Definitely worth a visit, especially for that special occasion.

• Amazing, amazing, amazing

  Well what can I say other than fantastic! A hidden little restaurant that just needs to be visited over and over again to try the delicious meals and even better desserts. Special atmosphere and definately living up to the relaxed fine dining.

• My Favourite Restaurant Outside of London

  I stumbled accross this little restaurant purely by chance when the place I was going to around the corner was fully booked. My wife and I are now regulars at Zest, the food is good proper english fodder, there is an excellent wine list and the service is always very good.

• Only decent place in Derby!!

  After years of trying Derby's restaurants and invariably being disappointed with the stuff on offer, Zest was such a relief! The waiter is very handsome for a start! The food is always fresh and well cooked with seasonal ingredients. The set lunch at the weekend is always brilliant value for money and always has something interesting and different to choose from. My absolute fave is the cheese aigrettes..mmmmmm. Basically, don't bother going anywhere else to eat in Derby as nowhere else competes!
