hi there im looking for some where to keep my shetland pony? do you have any space
I thought Moorbridge was rather lax on instruction, safety and cleanliness. Novices were sometimes left to tack up by themselves and the tack wasn't checked after which led to potentially dangerous situations. As a new rider there I also felt very distanced from the yard, with the instructors favouring the more experienced pupils who had been there for years. However, I do owe Moorbridge for teaching me how to ride (somewhat) and I was devastated when it closed a few years ago. If anyone has any information concerning whether the stables has reopened to the public, or is you know who some of the horses were sold to, PLEASE email me. I'm especially concerned with the whereabouts of 'Sooty' (black gelding, medium-weight, only horse at the stables wearing a running martingale). fiwen@hotmail.co.uk OR fiwen30@hotmail.co.uk

i ride at Moorbridge every Tuesday after school. The instructors are friendly, enthusiastic and always happy to help. This is an excelent riding school and a fun way to learn how to ride.
I used to ride at Moorbridge every saturday morning, but used to stay the whole day to help out with the everyday tasks such as feeding, grooming, mucking out and help with the rides. I loved the atmosphere at the stables, everyone was friendly and willing to help should you have any questions or queries. They helped to make you feel welcome and more at ease! The horses at the stables ranged from small beginner ponies to 17hh Thoroughbreds for more experienced riders. The rides also catered for different levels of experience and preference, such as 1/2 rides for children and beginners to 1 hour hacks or schooling for adults and more advanced riders. Rides varied each week and consisted of either hacking, schooling or jumping or a mix of all! During the summer they also ran 'Pony Weeks' which meant you could experience owning your own pony for the week. You were responsible for feeding, grooming, mucking out and tacking up your own horse or pony and there were different fun activities such as gymkhana games, treasure hunts, cross country and tack and turn out shows. On each Friday after the week was over they used to have a prize giving where you got rosettes depending on how well you did on each activty. I thought this was a great idea for anyone who wanted to know what owning your own horse or pony is like! I think this stable is great because not only does it cater for all different ages and levels of riding, but the instructers and other people who worked there were so friendly and willing to help
