Based at four main sites across the city, Derby College has approximately 30,000 learners and offers over 1,000 full and part time courses in a wide range of subjects.
The College’s Joseph Wright Centre opened in September 2005, providing the young people of Derby with a state-of-the-art learning environment in the heart of the city.
As the only college in Derbyshire with a specialist land based site, Derby College offers a full range of courses covering plant sciences and animal sciences, as well as an onsite Equine Centre that opened in 2005.
With four Centres Of Vocational Excellence (CoVEs) in Construction, Engineering, IT and Retail, Derby College is an ambassador for excellence in vocational training, bridging the skills gaps that currently exist in the region.
Derby College is proud of its links with other organisations in order to benefit students. Including links with local and national businesses such as Rolls-Royce and Remploy, the College continues to develop relationships to ultimately develop its success.
Derby College enjoys links with the University of Derby and De Montfort University to make Higher Education more accessible to students in Derby through HNCs, HNDs, foundation degrees and professional qualifications.
Derby College has a number of learning centres in the community bringing quality education to the doorstep of those in Derby, offering courses in IT, literacy and numeracy.
