  As it is part of the Virgin enterprise, I got what I expected when I visited the gym and that was state-of-the-art fitness equipment. The gym is excellent, offering a wide variety of exercises. There are plenty of services available to members, although most involve an extra cost, and when you're paying £40+ per month, this can work out quite expensive. On the down side, I sometimes found the gym intimidating, especially whilst trying to use the free-weight area due to the 'muscle men' hogging most of the equipment, which staff did not enforce that strictly. On the whole, an excellent facility, and you get what you pay for. By far the best fitness-related centre I've used!
