A few years ago we realised that a large amount of people’s lives were being recorded onto tape and then left on a shelf to gather dust. We knew this because we used to do the same and it is a crying shame. Tapes disintegrate in time, look at the old Cine reels and VHS tapes now to see what I mean. Imagine now, today, if you could see your great grand parents as children, getting married, raising your grandparents, wouldn’t that be amazing? Well of course very few, if any people were being filmed so long ago. But now many of us have camcorders and we have filmed our lives for years. Three or four generations from now, our great grandchildren will be able to view our lives and thus gain the benefit of 21st century technology for hundreds if not thousands of years. However, there’s a problem. If you don’t transfer your timeless moments to DVD they will slowly disappear and your descendants will be in the same boat as we are today. We realised that the best way of saving people’s lives (on film that is) is to get them transferred to DVD as soon as possible. But there is another problem. Why don’t people bother watching their films? Why don’t they catalogue them and sit around together as a family and relive the old times? Well we think the reason is simple if brutal. Films of baby John that last for hours and hours can become mind numbingly dull, even if you are mum and dad. So, that’s when we decided to put our skills to use offering the transfer of taped films to DVD but adding all the extras and using sympathetic editing techniques to produce something the whole family will want to watch again and again.

At last a company that does what is says

After two teriible previous transfers of cine, the first some time ago onto VHS and the last a year ago onto DVD, I was rather apprehensive about trying again. I was then directed towards Timeless Moments by a friend who gave them a glowing review. The sales director, Ian Litchfield, certainly knows his stuff and put me at ease over the phone. They even transferred my first reel for free so that I may see the quality of their work, which was excellent. Now I have had over 7000 feet of 16mm and 2000 feet of 8mm cine transferred to DVD, the final result was amazing. I cannot praise them high enough which is why I told Ian I would write this review. Thanks TM for a marvellous job on my old videos of the kids. This was crying out to be done for years and I've been pretty lazy not to get around to it. With a transfer to DVD and the extras you've added such as the brilliant music and menus, we can now sit down as a family and easily watch our old movies. Good job, highly recommended. David Howell

First Class Service

Very pleased indeed with this company. They carried out splendid work for my family, transferring both video and CINE to DVD. Absolutely astonished at the results.
