• perfect day, perfect lunch

  My family and I had spent the morning doing some research for my new home, we were quite hungry and it was close to lunchtime, the plan was to go into Matlock but the traffic was awful so we went up the hill to Wirksworth. We were casually walking by trying to fing a pub when this briliant restaurant caught my wife, daughter and my eye It looked like a proper french restaurant so we decided to go in. The service was excellent as we were recommended items from the menu. The sandwiches we selected were prepared quickly and tatsed great. The ambience was relaxed and friendly. A fabulous choice, pity we don't live nearer. Any chance of one in Blawins Gate area?

• Tres bien

  We enjoyed a wonderful evening at Le Mistral. The food was excellent and the service was some of the best we have ever experienced. We ate in the seating area downstairs, which was preferable in our opinion as it was intimate and relaxing. The menu was varied and there was a good selection of specials. We will definitely visit again when we are next in the area. Booking advisable.

• Delightful Meal

  Having spent the morning walking round Black Rocks and Wirksworth town (which is full of suprises with stone built houses and cottages hidden down narrow winding streets and paths I was very pleasently suprised to find Le Mistral (a French Bistro style restaurant) in the centre of town opposite the main car park. The staff were very friendly and gave me tips on places to visit after my meal. The food was freshly cooked very tasty and reasonably priced for the quality and size of portions. I must admit that the wine list (most of which are served by the glass) atracted my attention far too closely and I needed a walk after my meal to wear off the effects of having to try just one more.
