www.island-foundation.com (Previously known as The Island Foundation) The Island Project is a limited partnership offering vocational placements to children and young adults aged 8-19 years. We realise that all children and young adults with learning barriers and additional needs require individually tailored programmes and learning opportunities, which is why our team of bubbly and caring staff go one step further in dedicating themselves to provide a memorable experience for our students that will impact their lives in many positive ways. The Island Project aims to provide a person centred approach to our academic, vocational and life skills packages and we hope to build the foundations of mutual respect and friendship by lending a helping hand.     i used to island foundation to place my child throughout the summer. he has autism and we had struggled to find a provision that would meet his needs. the staff are fantastic, careing people and my son has benefited greatly from his time at the island. i will be using the service again without hesitation.

    i placed my chld at the foundation when no other service in derby would offer him a chance,he has changed his behaviours and is now far more managable. the staff at the island are fantastic i wuld recommend this service to anyone
