About Us

Brief description

We specialise in using traditional, hot forging, blacksmith's techniques to create bespoke, hand wrought, architectural and domestic ironwork of the highest quality. This can be applied to traditional or contemporary styles to enhance your property. We offer a full service from design to installation as well as restoration and replication of historic ironwork.

    We can highly recommend Dan Liggins and his work. He made double gates for our driveway and a side gate for the walled garden of our grade II listed house. We (and the conservation officer) were delighted with the gates. Customer care was also excellent.

  • 5 Not just gates but works of art

    Dan Liggins of Black Dragon Forge created 2 sets of the most magnificent gates for our drive. We chose from 4 of his drawings and are so pleased with what he produced. The craftsmanship involved in these gates is absolutely brilliant. We have had numerous compliments on the gates from neighbours and friends (even delivery people!) We feel they not only provide the protection we desired but also enhance our property.
